Click the box next to the command to check it if it is not already checked. In order to assign a keyboard shortcut to a command you must first make sure that there is a check next to the command. Some of them have check marks next to them and some do not. You will see tabbed tables of all of SoftPlan's commands. To edit the Keyboard Shortcuts select File⇒System Options⇒Keyboard Shortcuts & SoftTalk Commands. This is just an example of how you don't have to stick with the default settings. But to me that was reversed from what they should have been so I switched them. SoftPlan's defaults are Left Mouse Button (Home) and Right Mouse Button (End).

If you looked through my list and were paying attention you may have noticed that Left Mouse Button (End) and Right Mouse Button (Home) are reversed from the way they are assigned when you install SoftPlan. So I would learn other commands first before I learned the lesser used ones. I do use Divide Segments occasionally but it is not an every day thing. But if you start out with just a few and then after you learn them and use them all the time add a few more then the task is not quite so daunting.
